Whether you're looking for a safe flooring material to install near an outdoor pool, around an indoor hot tub area, or in a patio sitting area, the Life Floor Slate Tiles 3/8 Inch product looks great while delivering impressive durability. In areas where wet surfaces could cause slipping, our pool decking gives you a high level of traction.
This pool deck flooring has a grippy slate top surface texture in a foam rubber floor tile. This product is manufactured using a non-toxic, UV-stable, durable, soft, and slip resistant flooring solution that works perfectly in any outdoor area where people will gather near your home or business.
These safer pool deck tiles feature a 5-year limited manufacturer warranty, meaning you can count on the value you'll receive with this pool bathroom flooring. It will give you great performance levels for a long time. And because it's UV treated, this flooring will stand up to exposure to the sun without fading.
Our swimming pool tile features a Shore C 65 material hardness rating that ensures it can stand up to constant foot traffic or the weight of patio furniture being placed on it. This is a Made in the USA product, which means you can count on the quality of the materials used in the construction of the flooring.
Use Case Options
These tiles are crafted from PE/EVA foam and rubber materials that provide a soft outdoor flooring solution that is UV stable, slip resistant, durable, long lasting, and available in many designer color options. The rubber foam blend in these tiles is easy to handle and gives you an amazing level of durability. Because the materials are non-absorbent, our swimming pool tile works perfect in areas where it will be exposed to water on a regular basis.
These tiles are relatively easy to install, making it a nice long-term permanent flooring solution in wet areas. It's also easy to keep clean, as this pool bathroom flooring is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, making it perfect for commercial shared wet area environments, such as swimming pools, locker rooms, bathrooms, or shower areas. You can use these tiles indoors or outdoors equally well.
Use Around a Hot Tub
This flooring material is a great option for installing around a hot tub or sauna, for example, at a hotel setting or at your home. The look of this tile is great, meaning it works in any area where people expect to see a luxury-style flooring product.
Because of the high humidity around saunas and hot tubs, you could introduce mold and mildew to the area over time, especially as the flooring remains wet. Humid, indoor areas don't allow water to evaporate as easily as it does outdoors. Our Life Floor Slate Tiles 3/8 Inch product resists mold and mildew, as it doesn't absorb water. Should you have an untreated wood or carpet flooring installed around the hot tub, these materials can absorb water, leading to potential problems with the formation of bacteria.
Additionally, because the flooring around the hot tub often is wet, a hard cement flooring will become slippery. Our tiles can prevent this problem by giving those using the hot tub a textured surface across which to walk.
We have a few different color options that you can order with this pool decking, and the customer service personnel can help you find the best color for your hot tub and sauna. This tile will look great in any color, which includes the following options.
We sometimes have some other colors available too, so contact our customer service team to learn about all of your options for ordering our Life Floor Slate Tiles 3/8 Inch materials. Some colors have a longer lead time for shipping after ordering. Additional Color Options Here
Use Around Outdoor Swimming Pools
This swimming pool tile also works in underwater situations, such as pools, slide pads, or splash pads. Our tiles feature a super grip top surface texture, making them an excellent outdoor flooring solution around splash pads or anywhere water is frequently present.
Our customers also like this wet area flooring because it remains cool to the touch in warm temperatures and indirect sunlight. The tiles will feel cool when stepped on, unlike concrete or asphalt. This durable pool bathroom flooring is a premium wet area flooring solution wherever people will commonly be walking in bare feet.
In areas where children may be running, the swimming pool tile features a 1-foot ASTM fall height rating, which is great for commercial or home environments. This rating measures the maximum height from which you can fall without suffering a life threatening head injury. Obviously, our tiles for pools don't have the same fall height protection rating as you'll find with playground tiles, where falls from greater heights are more common. But this tile will help protect against bumps and bruises should a child stumble while running around the pool or splash pad.
You'll love the style of the pool bathroom flooring, as its surface approximates the look of expensive slate tile. But you'll have a much softer surface on which to walk with this type of tile, thanks to the PE/EVA foam and rubber materials we've used in the construction. This style of tile marks a much more comfortable option for using with bare feet than cement or other hard materials.
The pool decking material is installed using commercial grade contact cement. For an underwater instillation, you'll want to use synthetic rubber and a waterproof contact cement that can withstand underwater environments. You can install the tiles on prepared concrete or a similar hard flat surface around swimming pool decking areas with adhesive too.
Customers love how quickly they can install the Life Floor Slate Tiles 3/8 Inch product. This pool bathroom flooring measures 2 by 2 feet per tile, which means you receive 4 square feet of coverage area with each piece. This allows you to cover a large area much more quickly than you can with a 1-by-1-foot tile, for example.
As each tile only weighs 1.34 pounds, it's easy for one person to move the tiles around and line them up for installation. Additionally, you can place this swimming pool tile over any type of hard, flat surface, which simplifies the installation process. You don't need to perform extensive preparation of the sub-surface, as long as it's a hard surface. Just sweep it to make sure there are no loose debris on the surface that could prevent the adhesive from sticking to the sub-surface properly.
The pool bathroom flooring measures 3/8 inches in thickness, which makes it easy to cut the tiles to fit around objects, such as floor drains or support posts. Because the rubber foam material used throughout the thickness of the tile is non-absorbent, the tile will retain its non-absorbent properties even after being cut.
Should you need to cut these tiles, you can use a utility knife and a straight edge. Because you have to glue these tiles, rather than connecting them through some sort of tab and loop system, you can cut them down to any size or in any shape and still receive a good level of performance.
We also have some peel-and-stick styles of outdoor pool tiles if you're looking for a type of installation that will require less mess from adhesive. Contact our customer service department to learn more about all of our options.
Maintenance and Care Ideas
Understand that our pool bathroom flooring surface can be punctured by sharp objects, such as high heels, nails, screws, furniture legs being dragged, and animal nails, among others. Because of this, you'll want to make sure that you monitor the type of footwear being used on this swimming pool tile material.
These foam rubber floor tiles are easy to clean. Because the foam floor tiles consist of a closed cell foam, moisture does not penetrate into the material, which gives you plenty of safe cleaning options.
We recommend that you clean the Life Floor Slate Tiles 3/8 Inch product with a Life Floor cleaning solution or with a damp mop and hot water. These tiles will not absorb liquids, so you shouldn't see staining.
If you have a situation where you need to pressure wash the surface of the pool decking, do not use a setting higher than 2,500 psi. Take care that you don't hold the nozzle on the pressure washer too close to the pool bathroom flooring. Stay at least 15 inches away from these outdoor tiles and use a 20 degree or wider tip. To rinse the surface after the cleaning process, you can just use a garden hose.
If you have any questions about cleaning, installing, or maintaining this swimming pool tile, please contact our customer service team. We can help you figure out the best way to make use of these tiles, no matter what situation you may be facing!
This product must be glued down to a cementitious surface that is properly prepared for contact cement adhesive based on the installation instructions. Some installations to a plywood surface are acceptable under certain circumstances, please inquire.

If used in a shower area, how would you keep it from absorbing water when you cut out for the shower drain. Wouldn't that 'open it up'' to water penetration?
