Caring for Your Marley Floor

  1. Most vinyl dance floors can be swept and damp mopped, but be sure to use the particular floor cleaner that is recommended for your dance floor.
  2. If you purchase marley Rosco flooring, always use the Rosco brand floor cleaner to clean the floor. If you use another type of cleaner, it will void the flooring's warranty.
  3. If you use your vinyl dancing style of flooring as a temporary flooring option, always roll it on a core tube and store it in an upright position. Laying the vinyl marley floor flat when it's not in use can cause the flooring to warp.

Even though this style of vinyl flooring is thin, it provides plenty of toughness. With such a high level of durability, many of our customers are professional theaters hand school theaters.

Some of our vinyl marley flooring contains a no-glare coating on the surface, which is especially good for use in a theater setting. With certain types of flooring, the strong lights used in a theater can cause a glare for those in the audience. But our no-glare theater vinyl flooring eliminates this problem.

Those working on video shoots also can make use of this no-glare flooring. A shine on the floor could cause photographic or video equipment to give false lighting readings, resulting in poor results from the photo or movie.

A roll of no-glare marley floor provides the same sure footing in the surface of the floor and the same slight give and cushioning that keeps dancers' joints feeling fresh. This no-glare floor has the same properties as those other vinyl flooring options that we carry at Greatmats, but it just carries a black surface that doesn't reflect the room or stage lighting.

Because the rolls of no-glare theater floor are so thin at 2 mm, they could show imperfections in the subfloor.
