Actual Size: 34.63 x 46.71 inches. These 3/4 inch thick tiles have a thickness tolerance of +/- .045 inch. Specifically designed plastic shims that fit the interlocking design of this tile are provided with these rubber tiles in order to provide a solution if any of the tiles have different thicknesses.

Shim Guide

Use this type of weight room flooring in areas where heavy dumbbells and free weights over 100 lbs will be dropped onto the rubber floor mats. Excellent for power lifting areas, this flooring is rugged enough to be used in areas where plates will be deliberately dropped to the ground. Ideal for dead lifting areas and clean-and-jerk routines.

This product is a 3x4 ft center tile. Also available are 2x2 ft corner tiles, 2x4 ft and 2x3 ft border tiles with beveled edge options. Contact customer service for these additional tile options.

Many installations will utilize borders on two sides of the room and tile the remaining floor with centers to reduce the amount of cutting need for a custom wall to wall installation. For commercial installations and those over 500 SF, it is best to use only center tiles and start your layout in the center of the room.

This weight room flooring is most often installed in high schools and college weight rooms and is also a popular choice for home gyms for serious weight lifters that need a strong weight room rubber flooring that can take the load of dropping heavy weights. This weight room flooring rubber material can be cut to fit as needed for a wall to wall custom installation.

For wall to wall weight room flooring installations we recommend to start with one 2x2 foot corner tile in one corner of the room that shares two longer walls, and then use border tiles going away from the one corner tile in two directions in order to reduce the amount of tile cutting. The rest of the component pieces would consist of 3x4 foot center tiles and the installer will need to cut center tiles to fit along the remaining walls.

Corner tiles are 2x2 ft in size, borders are either 2x3 ft or 2x4 ft in size and all center tiles are 3x4 ft in size. This 3/4 inch weight room flooring material is available with either straight or beveled edging. Choose beveled edges when your installation is like an island inside of a larger space and choose straight edge when your installation is wall to wall.

This material will have some rubber smell for several weeks after installation which will dissipate with ventilation over time. Not recommended for people with high smell sensitivities.

Some surface inconsistency may exist, such as shadowing, due to the recycled rubber. We will not accept returns for this product appearance.

Please Note:
When creating kits in this product the pattern or grain of the top surface texture will not run in the same direction on all of the floor tiles. This is because the mats are made in 4x8 ft pieces and then water jet cut into corners, borders and corners as needed to make the component pieces for a specific kit size.
