Basement Wood Foam Tiles, Interlocking Faux Wood Flooring, Home Wood Look Foam Mats
Interlocking premium wood grain foam tiles, Foam floor tiles wood grain interlocking mats
When seeking comfortable floors that provide the elegance and stylish warmth of real hardwood, consider the Foam Tiles Wood Grain Premium from Greatmats. These versatile premium wood grain foam tiles are perfect for homes and basements. They give the space a high end appearance that matches multiple interior styles. Not designed for use with shoes.
Wood Foam Tiles
Use these wood grain foam tiles around the house, as our wood grain mats foam tiles are great for basement floors. Or use them anywhere upscale faux wood floor mats are desired.
If ordering these foam floor tiles wood grain premium, a variety of different color options are available. They work nicely installed atop the majority of floor surfaces. A custom floor with the perfect color can be achieved with the selection of brown, gray, and black wood tones.
The potential uses for these premium wood grain foam tiles are limitless. From basement surfaces to bedrooms upstairs, they will deliver excellence for years.
They are lightweight with simple assembly and disassembly, enhancing portability.
They are also popular for basement installations, because they offer cushion, comfort, and style.
Even basements with the most advanced waterproofing technology can have seepage. However, these premium wood grain foam tiles are resistant to water, greatly reducing the chance that they will harbor mold and mildew.
Keep in mind, moisture can become trapped underneath. So in cases of damp environments, periodic removal of them may be necessary for airing out. Luckily, disassembly a simple process.
Perfectly Designed Interlocking Premium Foam Wood Flooring
These premium interlocking foam mats wood grain are made from 11 mm thick EVA. Each is 2x2 feet in size. They will tightly interlock together.
For installation into oddly shaped locations, our foam tile flooring can be cut to fit, allowing for a tight fit against walls.
Each 2x2 item weighs roughly 1.2 pounds. This means it is easy to pick up, move, and install in different locations.
They have a universal puzzle edge that allows for a tight connection with virtually no gaps. This helps it to look realistic.
The surface is smooth. Assembly can be completed without the need for adhesives or staples. An order of premium wood grain foam tiles includes border strips to create a finished edge.
Customers also like our puzzle style carpet squares and interlocking foam floor tiles. These products will be appropriate in numerous use cases.
Non-Absorbent EVA
One of the biggest advantages for Greatmats premium foam tiles is that they are completely non-absorbent, outperforming a Sorbus wood grain floor mat. Ours are ideal for subbasement locations that potentially have seepage issues or areas where drinks could be spilled.
They will provide an upscale feel to any house.
These are dense enough to withstand the weight of common foot traffic without shoes.
However, they are not recommended for kids rooms or areas where high heels will be used. We recommend using our Foam Premium Mats 5/8 Inch in solid colors for those types of applications.
Additionally, we offer different foam wood flooring for playrooms. The top pattern is a layer of film, heat transferred to the surface. It can be susceptible to punctures and scratches from pets, however, and heavy furniture on foam tiles wood grain can damage them.
Fast and Easy to Clean Wood Floor Foam Tiles
Cleaning wood grain foam mats is extremely simple.
Before vacuuming them, test a small section to ensure the vacuum won't scuff the surfaces. (Please note: Have the vacuum cleaner set at the highest setting or just use the hose and nozzle. Don't use a power head.)
If needed, clean them using a damp mop. With household cleanser and warm water, simply swab the area and allow it to air dry thoroughly. Spot cleaning with a soft, non-abrasive sponge works too.
Because they are easy to disassemble, some of our customers take them outside for cleaning. Once they are dry, simply press them back into place. They will not absorb water, but make sure they are thoroughly dry before putting them back.
An engineering degree is not required for installations. In fact, those who can put together a puzzle have the basic skills necessary to install these. A single one measures roughly 4 square feet, so calculating coverage area is a piece of cake.
For the first time installing, allow them to acclimate to the room’s temperature before laying out the interlocking wood floor tiles.
They can expand with changes in heat and humidity. Leave a roughly 1/4-inch expansion gap from the wall.
The only tools required are a utility knife and a straight edge. Start in a corner and install the main part with border edges. Work outward until you reach the far wall, then cut the squares to fit.
Island installs go even faster. Just assemble them in the proper location and connect the borders around the perimeter for a finished look.
Color and shade may vary somewhat within the same order. This is common with the ethylene vinyl acetate design.
This product is designed for home use. It is not commercially rated or warrantied for commercial use.
Even though these are waterproof, they are not UV protected, so we do not recommend them for outdoor use. If used outside, they could expand and curl if left in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
For heavy duty outdoor use, consider our rubber that simulates hardwood planks. It is of a high quality, outperforming other rubber flooring that looks like wood.

FAQ Wood Grain Foam Tiles Q&A
How do you lay wood grain foam floor tiles?
For installing in a wall-to-wall layout, start by placing one of the interlocking floor tiles in the corner of the room that shares the two longest walls. Each piece will have two border strips to use as flat edges that ship with it. Then work forward until reaching the other walls. You may have to cut some of them.
Are foam tiles waterproof?
Yes, they are totally waterproof and won’t soak up moisture or dampness seeping through the concrete in a cellar. They consist of a closed cell ethylene vinyl acetate that does not allow liquid to penetrate the material.
How do you clean foam floor tiles?
The non-absorbent quality of these premium wood grain foam tiles simplifies maintenance. Use mops and sponges to wash specific areas. It can be completed with basic cleaners available at home.
What are foam tiles made of?
They are made of closed cell durable EVA. Standing atop tough concrete can steadily wear out leg muscles, causing people to tire quickly. If standing and walking over a soft surface, though, people will have more energy for the entire day.
Can you put foam mats on carpet?
When attempting to lay foam flooring over carpeting, it will sink at the seams. This can cause the pieces to come apart. This is also dangerous, because it causes a tripping hazard. The best solution on carpet is PVC plastic tiling.

I love it, it's exactly that i wanted for my quarantine workouts and dance in the garage so I'm not on hard concrete.

We finished a room in our basement for a den and your foam flooring is on the concrete floor in it. The foam makes the usually cold concrete comfortably warm enough to sit on. It's so easy to install my wife did it herself. She found it easy to cut and fit along shorter walls. When shopping we were very impressed with the number of patterns and colors, especially the choice of 3 different wood grain patterns. So far we are really satisfied customers.

I was looking for a floor covering that I could put over a concrete floor in my basement bedroom. We had some issues with water getting in and I wanted something that I could pick up and make sure there was no water or if there was, I could clean up. I look at the outdoor floor tiles made out of wood and they were over $1,000 for our room. It cost us around $360 to do our room and it was a larger room. I love these mats. They look so nice - so much better than the ugly carpet/concrete that was there before. There is only one downside, and I don't really consider it an issue. You can see where the mats come together. Do not let your pest roughhouse on them. But I think they look awesome. We're considering buying some more to do in our family room.

The look is fantastic and the customer service is just as great.
However, I would recommended the darker wood reversible tile - as the inside foam color is a dark tan. The ones I bought is wood on top but white foam inside. The top scratches VERY easily - and then there are white scratch marks on the tiles b/c the inside o the tile is bright white. (see photo) Had I known this, I would have ordered the reversible wood grain so if scratched, then it's not bright white.
Otherwise, great look for a wood floor at fraction of the price and functional.

We absolutely love these foam tiles!!! We use it for our basement/ family room. The original flooring is ceramic tiles, and it feels very cold when you walk on it. I don't know if it's the thickness of the mat or the material, it blocks out the cold from the ground. It looks very nice and also very comfy to walk and stand on it. Our 9 month old son loves to crawl around on it. Recently he started to stand on his own so he falls a lot and these mats are perfect for our baby's activities. I used to feel the pain on my knees when I was down on the floor playing with him, but not anymore.
Our friends who saw the floor all love it very much. Highly recommend!

Just about every room in our building is used by multiple groups 6+ days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM. The Little Lambs, who meet with Coffee Break on Wednesday mornings needed a spot where they could have their snacks. The library was a great spot. Turns out kids spill things though, and the carpet in the library isn't compatible with spilled kool-aid. What we needed was a section with hardwood flooring.
Our problem was solved in about 20 minutes using snap together foam tiles: Not only was it quick and fairly inexpensive, it also adds padding to the area and spills clean up quickly & easily.

When our cheese company decided to attend a food show in San Antonio, we were surprised at our options when the show required us to cover the floor. The choices they offered included buying $500 of padded flooring from their guest services. I started looking elsewhere because I knew I wanted to be comfortable but did not want to spend that kind of money for a 2 day show. I looked online and found Great Mats. We purchased the wood-grain, padded, interlocking foam floor mats for under $130 including shipping. The mats arrived in plenty of time to take to the show. We assembled the mats within about 15 minutes. The best part about the mats besides superior comfort, is that after the show we wiped them clean and easily packed them back in the box for the use at another show in the future. I have attached a picture of our booth that does not show the flooring, but as you can see, we are happy and comfortable. We received many compliments and inquiries about where we bought the flooring.

Dark Wood Grain tiles look wonderful. . Super easy to install (even for a seventy year old female) and fairly easy to cut with a sharp utility knife. I installed them in my art studio and can hardly wait to move all the furniture in to get to work in my great looking space. Very comfortable under foot.
A warning though, do not use a vacuum on them as it can take off the surface pattern .

Love the floor, it looks great, easy to install, very soft. We have two big dogs so we will see how it holds up. Already did the water test, had a leak in basement and it did not absorb water. We pulled tiles up and dried floor and tiles and back in they go. I am ordering extra's just to have on hand if we need to replace some worn once. It does leave indentations, so all furniture has padding underneath and dogs nails need to stay trim.
Love the look of it and super fast shipping.

We originally purchased just enough of these cork patterned foam tiles to form a mat in front of our washer and dryer. We liked them so much we decided to use them as flooring across the entire laundry room. The tiles are attractive, very easy to install and to cut to fit as needed, and they feel wonderful underfoot. They not only provide welcome cushioning, they also insulate the floor so well, it’s even comfortable to walk on them in stocking feet, something we would never do on the bare concrete. Visitors and workmen who come down into our basement have all remarked on the floor and asked where we got it. We’re very happy to recommend that they contact Greatmats too!

We have a 41 foot sailboat that need the floors replaced. We used Greatmats and they are awesome. You can't tell the floors are not real wood and it has helped tremendously the insulation. We love that we can get them wet and they are not slippery.

The tiles are well made and soft under foot. They served the purpose well in our tradeshow booth and looked great! At the end of the day, my feet were just fine, which is always the indication of whether the booth is properly padded or not.
After they arrived, it took a while to match up the pattern on the tiles. They look better when the wood grain continues from one tile to the next. They are manufactured in sets of four (2x2), so we did the best we could to figure out which four tiles went together, and it made a big difference in the look of the resulting floor. During that process, I applied tape to the tops of two tiles to label them. To my horror, when I removed the tape, the printed wood grain came off too, revealing a large white patch where the tape was. I won't repeat that mistake. It's clear that the printing is delicate. Those two tiles are now hidden under our table.
We used them for three days in the trade show booth. Chairs and high heeled shoes made permanent impressions in the tiles, but the look of the wood grain remained fine and I don't think anyone will notice. Based on the durability, I expect to use these for three to four trade shows before needing to replace them. To me, that's a perfectly acceptable investment. I would buy them again, knowing what I know.

This flooring was the perfect solution for our needs. We renovated an unused basement bedroom into a room for my sons very large Lego collection. You would not want carpeting in a room that was used for Lego play. This room also has a cement floor, so having a padded floor that was also insulating against the cold was important. GreatMats flooring was just what we needed. It installed very quickly. We are now looking for other ways to use this flooring, maybe around our billiards table.

My mom has severe arthritis in her ankles and feet, so painful that she cannot walk or stand on hardwood or tile floors for any length of time. Her new place was great with soft wall to wall carpet everywhere except the kitchen, of course. And she loves to cook and bake. I'd used those red, yellow, blue sets of 2'x2' foam tiles from the local home improvement store to create a workout space in my basement, so I knew foam tiles could make a difference. But using ugly concrete grey or children's primary colors would be beyond tacky. Then I found Greatmats. I was also worried whether Greatmats' wood grain tiles would look cheap and tacky in her home (especially next to the stained golden oak wood cabinets left over from the 80s), but they turned out wonderful. Yes, it's a lot of wood, but we were going for functional and practical and affordable. They were so easy to install - yard stick and a utility knife was all I needed. (Built in cushion to work on hands and knees - it doesn't get any better). What's more, it's been almost a year and they still look great. (We do put a coaster/leg protector under the dinner table legs and chairs to minimize the dimples - and they still pop back up). We've been careful to not spill anything that would stain, and to not to drag anything or wear heels that might tear the surface. And, as for mom's arthritis, she loves the foam tiles, and the tiles add insulation over the floor that's essentially on a concrete slab. (She puts an extra mat in front of the sink and stove, partly just to decorate). Everyone who visits pauses midstep to say, hey, this feels great and then is surprised that it's foam. Can't say enough. Best money I ever spent!

This tile makes great booth flooring. I have no booth setup experience, and I set this up in 10 minutes. Take down was even easier. The other people manning the booth with me commented on how springy it was. CAUTION: Do not wear heels or set up heavy objects with small legs on this surface. It will cause indentation. All in all, it was cheaper for me to purchase and install these tiles for the show I was putting on, than it was to *rent* carpet and pad. Not to mention, now I have flooring for every show we go to!
