Pool patio and deck tiles for outdoor that interlock, Plastic drainage interlocking decking tiles

These interlocking patio tiles are ideal for nearly all hard, flat spaces outdoors. With their perforated design and drain through technology, these make an excellent pairing with wet areas. Quick and easy to install, these represent versatile products.

These are made of a flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material, and they do not absorb water. Each is equipped with 265 pegs on the underside to secure the elevated subsurface, and the top is comfortable on the feet. Interlocking deck tiles have an impressive number of usage cases.

Interlocking Patio Flooring

Liquid drains right through them, eliminating the issue of deep puddles during inclement weather.

The perforated interlocking deck tiles prevent the growth of mold and mildew. The tops remain consistently dry, and these are equipped to handle conditions anywhere moisture is present.

Product Questions:

Can I use this under children's play area with swing set? Thanks Christie
Yes this product can be used outdoors under a swing set, however our Staylock tile will hold together better as the interlocking tabs are a bit for active locking.
How do you cut this material for rounded edges, etc? Is a regular scissors sufficient?
I would think a sheer tool could work for the rounded corners, not sure if common scissors would be larger enough, otherwise a sharp utility knife would work also.
I'm trying to find an outdoor rubber title to surround a pool we are installing because wood decking is too costly. Two questions, can I lay this material directly over sand/dirt? How many will I need if I'm trying to go around a pool that measures 16x24 (oval shape)? Do you recommend a specific tile for this?
Our outdoor rubber patio and paver tile can be installed outdoors over a crushed stone that is compacted and level. The tile count required will depend on the size to cover and in this case the width from the pool. Each 2x2 ft tile covers 4 SF. Our Sterling Outdoor 2 inch tile would be a great option.
Is there any edge tile to purchase? Or border tile, the 1/2 inch drop off is considerable when my children are running around playing tennis on it.
This product does not have a ramped edge option. Our Staylock Perforated tiles do have a ramped edge option.
What is the grid opening size?
The size of the openings in this tile is .25 x .25 inch square.
I am considering this flooring to put over my wood deck by the pool and I live in MN. Is there any issues leaving this in place through the cold winter months?
The tiles are designed for outdoor use in all climates, so your application is fine. The tiles will shrink a little in the winter and expand a little in the summer.
Is the underside of the Patio Outdoor tile damaging for a rubber membrane roof? Especially with a container garden box on them?
Yes I could be, we only recommend our Staylock Perforated tile for rubber membrane rooftops.
I have a basement that takes on water with an uneven floor. I would like to lay down some inexpensive tiles like these and possibly top it with some fake turf for working out. Will this product form on the uneven floors, and handle jumping and basic work out equipment?
Yes this is a good option and we have other options as well. Please contact customer service.
Does this product have a fall rating can it be used for a safe play area for children?
This product does not have an ASTM fall height rating. For kids, we can recommend our Staylock Perforated tiles with a fall height rating. Staylock can be used for kids outdoors. It may be worth taking a look at this video which compares the two perforated patio tiles.
Do you have to glue down any of the stay lock perforated tiles on a concrete patio?
No glue down of tiles is required for this product, its better to allow the tiles to move a little on the surface as needed from expansion due to heat.
Can this be used for dog pen?
Yes it could be. In fact, it has also been used as a subfloor in dog training spaces, such as Neuman K-9 Academy.
Does this product have to go over a hard surface, like concrete, or can it go over dirt?
It is best installed over a hard flat surface, over grass or dirt the tiles may separate more easily.
I live in a snowy area. Can these tiles be shoveled over without moving or damaging them?
Yes they can be.
I would like to place these tiles in my backyard. The surface is dirt, can I place bricks or wood down than place these tiles on top.
This tile can be installed on any hard flat outdoor surface, so bricks or wood under these tiles should be ok.
Can these tiles withstand Minnesota winters with 20 below zero temps ?
Yes these tiles are designed for outdoor use in all climates.
Can this be installed directly on grass?
This tile is best installed over a hard flat surface.
How easy is it to slide patio furniture??? An example would be sliding in you chair out from under the table while sitting?
That depends on the foot and legs of the patio furniture. If the legs are like posts then not so much.
how do these mats perform with dirt build up in the holes and how do you clean out the holes full of dirt, And with water trying to drain, would it not plug up the drainage?
The holes are too large to hold dirt, the tiles can be hosed off as needed for cleaning.
We would like to put the patio outdoor tiles over our deck because they seem easy to clean we get a lot on Berrys and dirt falling from our trees and water . Will this cause a lot of mold on our deck underneath basically will it ruin our deck? We are trying to save our deck.
Good question, very hard to answer, the tiles will not hold moisture, the debris might build up in the tiles, not sure.
We have some type of gritty paint called Restore on our pool deck and it is awful! Peeled right off after One summer. Can we put the tiles right on top of the wood or should it be treated first. Thank you
You can install these outdoor patio tiles right over the wood without the need to tread the wood or remove any paint.
Will these last if layed around my pool in Arizona where it gets 100 to 120 ever summer. I want to be able to get out and not burn my feet. If I buy these tiles, they will be in direct sunlight for hours.
I can suggest that you request a free sample in order to test the product in your space.
Which tile would be best to put underneath an outdoor sauna? Do not want water to sit underneath sauna but a barrier for water to flow underneath.
Consider one of our interlocking perforated tiles.
Can this tile go over a balacony deck with a PTO membrane?
I would recommend the Staylock line of outdoor perforated tiles for installation over PTO membrane.
I have a fiberglass deck that gets to hot to walk on during certain times of the day when the summer-sun is beating down on it. Can I use either kind of your tiles on it? Will it damage the deck in anyway? And if I can use your product will they eliminate the problem of an overheated deck surface so I can walk on it during the hot summer days? Thank you!
The Patio Outdoor Tiles and Staylock Perforated tiles are not a solid tile and will not hold heat like a your fiberglass decking does. Either tile can be installed directly over your decking.
How would this product work for a basketball court? We are thinking about installing it over dirt.
This tile should only be installed over concrete or asphalt.
I'm looking at these as a floor cover for a basement that seeps water sometimes and stays wet for some time. tried and tried to stop the water but cant without huge expense and work. my question is if I put this down and the floor is actively leaking will I be able to walk on the surface and stay dry?
These tiles are a 1/2 inch thick. As long as the water is not higher than the tiles, your feet should stay dry.
My cement patio has a deep uneven crack going all the way through the middle (tree roots cracking the cement) Would these patio tiles work to make the patio seem more even and smooth? Or would the uneven crack make the tiles uneven?
These patio tiles will work well over slight imperfections and cracks. If you have deep or wide cracks, we suggest filling those areas in before adding a tile over the top.
Will this tile surface get hot in direct sunlight?
These outdoor tiles are perforated, so they do not hold heat.
Can this be used for inline hockey
These tiles would have too much traction for incline hockey.
Is there edging available for this tile? If not, how do you finish off the edge especially if you have to cut the tile?
These tiles do not have a border. You may purchase a transition piece locally.
How much weight can I put on these tiles?
These have not been weight tested, they are designed for humane foot traffic.
Can this product be installed directly over a rolled roof?
This product is not recommended for membranes because the foot system is too aggressive. We do have other products that would work.
I have a 14 x 28 PT wood deck in really bad shape. Some boards are cupped. Will the tiles show these cups once installed. Also, would you use this or the 3/4” product?
These are flexible tiles so they will adjust and conform to the the subsurface. Minor imperfections in the subsurface will not show. Major bumps and dips in the subsurface may still transfer through these tiles. Our Staylock Tiles are very similar in that department. The main difference is that the Staylock Tiles offer more cushion.
Is this tile more flexible, or more rigid?
This is flexible tile.
Would these mat tiles get too hot to walk on barefooted by the pool in direct Arizona sun?
They will heat up, but the perforated and raised base of the tiles prevent them from holding heat like most other surfaces. It may be worth requesting a sample to test and see for yourself.
Can I: 1. install these over ceramic tiles? 2. vaccuum clean them? 3. can I wash dirt off them with a hose? thanks!
Yes to all of the above :-)
I want to cover my brick patio with the Patio Tile. It is very uneven. If I level it off with sand is that a good option?
Not really sure about that one, normally these tiles are designed for a flat surface.
How do these work with snow, ice, etc.?
These tiles are designed for outdoor use in all climates.
Hello, I love these tiles but I got some water based paint overspray on them, what would you suggest using as the best way to take the paint off?
We are happy to hear you are enjoying your tiles. We do not have personal experience with this situation, but did some research and found Murphy Oil Soap has been effective in removing paint from vinyl floors. Please be sure to test in an inconspicuous location if you choose to try this.
Could I put a 10' x 30'' children's pool on top of these tiles?
We have other options more suitable for this application, such as our Sport Plus Designer foam tiles. Feel free to reach out to a member of our sales team for assistance.
what size is a tile
.96 foot x .96 foot and 1/2 inch thick
Can these be installed on slightly uneven ground? Do these tiles attract snakes.
These interlocking patio tiles are ideal for nearly all hard, flat spaces outdoors. We have not performed any studies regarding snakes and these tiles.
How would these tiles do in the heat of the California desert? You cannot walk on our concrete pool deck in the height of summer (110 degrees +). We wouldn't leave it out permanently in the sun, but would build a pathway to the pool that we would use for three or four days at a time when we are out there... Thanks.
These tile are designed to accommodate extreme temperatures including direct sunlight. The tiles will still get hot, but not as hot as most solid surfaces. You may find that the material is a bit softer when heated.
Can these be used for an outdoor dog kennel? Can these be cut to fit?
Yes. They can be used for outdoor dog kennels and can be custom cut using a power saw or sharp utility knife.
Can you cut them?
Yes, these tiles can be cut with a sharp utility knife.
can I buy one as a sample/test? Thanks
Yes, you can purchase as many or as few tiles as you wish. We also offer free product samples. Please call 877-822-6622 for more assistance with this.

Customer Rating:

Great product, i was tired of scraping and staining every other year. There are a lot of different deck tile products out there. Simply put if you are going to cover your wooden deck you need ventilation and drainage or you'll be dealing with rot and mildew and these outdoor tiles are by far the ones. Simple to install. Highly recommended.
Thank you,
Doug V.

Customer Rating:

We purchased your patio outdoor gray tile to cover our outdoor area around our pool. The concrete was slippery and sloppy. We skim coated a few really bad areas. These photos show how wonderful this came out. We are putting a screen enclosure over this area and haven’t finished it yet.
We will be ordering a different colored product for our front porch next year.

Customer Rating:

We are very happy with our deck now that it is covered by Greatmats tiles. We can walk bare footed during the hottest part of the day. This was not possible when it was a steel deck. It also receives many compliments on how it looks.
